Alran Sully Goatskin Leather - Watermelon Red

Gorgeous, full-grain, top grade French goatskin leather hide in a fun watermelon red. The watermelon red has coral and pink undertones. Alran S.A.S. is the most well-respected goatskin tannery today. They still use the most traditional methods for tanning: a process that involves 23 steps and takes over a month from start to finish.

These chèvre goatskins are veg tanned at first and then re-tanned using mineral tannins. A lot of this process is manual, ensuring a hide that is beautiful and uniform all the way through. It comes as no surprise that Alan goatskins are widely used by Elite Leather Workers across Europe. 

It features a delicate grain, and a medium temper, providing the perfect combination of structure and softness. It has been split to 0.9mm (2.5 oz) and doesn't need to be skived. It is the perfect weight to be used as a lining and it pairs beautifully with our Calf Lux leather. 

Sold as a whole hide. Perfect as a lining for bags, wallets, shoes and belts. It provides the perfect landscape for edge painting as well. 

Even though this is a luxury article, with a very high percentage yield, leather is a skin and it may contain scars, branding marks and other small blemishes.
